Junior Writers’ Exhibition 2017  

The displays of student's compositions, journals, book reviews, poems and riddles is a platform to recognise good pieces of writing. It also provides opportunity for schoolmates to read one another’s work. It has encouraged our young budding writers’ to continue their good work.

P4 MOTHER TONGUE LANGUAGES (MTL) CULTURAL CAMP 2016


The school organised a Mother Tongue Language (MTL) Cultural Camp for all Primary 4 pupils. The objective of the camp is to provide pupils with an immersive environment to learn and use their Mother Tongue as a ‘Living Language’. In the process, they deepen their understanding of their own cultures through a myriad of fun and educational activities. The activities include Chinese painting and Wushu, Malay traditional costume doll making and Wayang Kulit puppet making as well as Indian mask painting and Indian traditional games.

MOTHER TONGUE LANGUAGES SYMPOSIUM 2016


The Mother Tongue Languages Symposium (MTLS) 2016 is an annual event co-organised by the Ministry of Education (MOE) and the Mother Tongue Language Learning and Promotion Committees (MTLLPC), with the support from Early Childhood Development Agency, Chinese Language and Culture Fund, the Lee Kuan Yew Fund for Bilingualism, Bicultural Taskforce, Singapore Press Holdings and National Library Board.

Into its fifth year, MTLS 2016 will continue to promote bilingual education and supplement efforts by schools and the community in the teaching and learning of MTLs. The MTLLPC’s Outstanding Pre-School Mother Tongue Language Teacher Award will also be held at MTLS 2016 to recognise the efforts of our Pre-school MTL teachers.

The Symposium will comprise exhibitions, performances, sharing sessions/workshops and the sale of learning resources. It will showcase schools' continual efforts and success stories in designing innovative programmes and using creative teaching to engage students with their Mother Tongue and to promote each Mother Tongue as a living and culturally dynamic language. The Symposium will also feature the community's efforts to generate a supportive environment for the learning and use of our Mother Tongue languages.

                Time:    10.15am to 11.35am (Opening and Award Ceremony)
                              11.00am to 8.00pm (Exhibition and Sharing Sessions/Workshops)
                Venue:  Suntec Singapore International Convention and Exhibition Centre, Level 3, Summit 1 & 2

Mother Tongue Fortnight (MTL) 4th April 2016 - 15th April 2016

The learning environment and opportunities are created for our pupils to actively use their MT languages. It enables pupils to better appreciate MT language and culture.
