About Gymnastics | Gymnastics is an amazing sport that incorporates balance, strength, flexibility, agility and locomotion in almost every skills that the students learn. The movements involved in gymnastics contribute to the development of the arms, legs, shoulders, back, chest and abdominal muscle groups. It is a fun way to learn about body awareness through skills such as the forward roll, cartwheel, handstand and many more. Gymnastics also serves as a good base for the students to get a good footing in every sports since gymnastics can be said to be the mother of all sports. Furthermore, gymnastics and sports in general help to improve the attentiveness and focus of the students which helps with their learning and academic pursuits. Many life skills such as never giving up, teamwork, self-awarenness and self-discipline are also a core of what make up gymnastics as a sport giving students valuable life lessons. |

Experiences | CCA members go through all the basics skills during the year: 1. Locomotors & Rotations Skills 2. Assessment & Grading 3. Revision and Assessment Members have to try out on all the skills. Some of them are not able to do it at the beginning, but through the weekly practices and guidance, they will experience the learning through joy and care. |
Developing our students | During CCA sessions, members develop their locomotor skills and acquire the 21st century core values through many trials. Through realization of their strength, they can build on and be aware of their weaknesses that they need to work on in order to make improvements. |
Growing hearts and minds | Activities conducted during the CCA sessions are geared towards character building and inculcating the values of team spirit, perseverance and self-awareness. Perseverance and self discipline form an integral part of the CCA as members are able to learn the skills slowly by building up confidence through constant praises after each small achievement. Pupils are aware that constant self-discipline is necessary to prevent any injury during CCA. |
Empowering leaders and talents | Gymnastics leaders are empowered to lead the team should there be any delay in the arrival of the coaches. This provides the opportunity for them. |
