Netball
About Netball |
Netball is an all-girls sport that is played by two teams. Teams may include up to 12 players but only 7 may take the court at any one time. Each player will take on a position on court. A game consists of 4 x 10 minutes quarters with an interval of 3 minutes after the first and third quarters and a 5-minute half-time interval. The major aim of the game is to score as many goals as possible from within the Goal Circle. The CCA sessions are on Fridays (competition period), 2.00 – 4.00pm. Trainings are conducted in the indoor sports hall. |
Experiences |
The junior and senior teams train twice a week to prepare for the annual North Zone and National Primary Schools Netball Championships. The teams undergo rigorous physical training which help to develop competent netball skills and keen mental skills. |
Developing our students |
During trainings, the girls learn basic ball skills, stamina building, agility and coordination exercises, all closely guided by the coach and teachers in charge |
Growing hearts and minds |
Netball provides a unique opportunity for both physical and moral development and character building. Through the pursuit of continuous improvement of their physical, psychological and social skills, our girls adopt an attitude of fair play and good sportsmanship. |
Empowering leaders and talents |
Our netball captain and vice-captain are empowered to lead the team for warm-ups and cool-down before and after training. They also help teachers to disseminate information to the rest of the team members. |
