Digital and Visual Literacy
EDGE Digital Literacy Programme
Empowering Students to Think Critically, Act Responsibly, and Create Confidently
in the Digital Age.
Our Purpose
The EDGE Digital Literacy Programme equips students with the essential
skills to thrive in an increasingly digital world. Across levels, students
develop key 21st Century Competencies (21CC) such as:
- Communication, Collaboration and Information Skills
- Critical, Adaptive, and Inventive Thinking
- Civic, Global and Cross-cultural Literacy
Through hands-on learning, guided reflections, and collaborative projects,
students learn to become discerning, safe, and empowered digital citizens.

Our Learning Approach
The DL Programme is anchored in experiential, reflective, and values-based learning:
-
Reflective Practice: Students reflect on their growth and decisions across the module.
-
Real-World Application: Projects mirror authentic digital tasks like poster design or video production.
-
Values-Driven Use: Students are guided to use digital tools with empathy, respect, and integrity.
-
Progressive Design: Skills and complexity deepen from foundational awareness (P1) to creation and communication (P5).
Our Impact
Through the EDGE DL Programme, students become:
-
More aware of how their choices affect themselves and others online
-
More skilled in using digital tools to express, collaborate, and create
-
More responsible in navigating online spaces with care and confidence
Through the programme, students grow into future-ready digital citizens
who live out EFPS’s vision of “Lives Empowered, Lives Touched” — in every
swipe, click, and post.

Lights, camera, action — and edit! Our students are putting their video editing skills to the test by creating their very own productions.
