About Chinese Dance Club

Chinese Dance Club is aimed at students who love Chinese culture and dancing. The CCA sessions are on Tuesday, 2.00 – 4.00pm. Activities are conducted in dance studio within the school.

Members get the opportunity to go on a learning journey once a year. We will bring students out to watch performance which related to Chinese culture and dance elements. Therefore, students will be able to be more confident to dance.

Developing our students

During CCA sessions, members acquire dance techniques like Stretching, rolling, bridge, split etc.

Members also learn challenging dance movements specified to the dance choreography.

Risk management is also part of the technique taught as the members go through the training.

Growing hearts and minds

Training conducted during the CCA sessions are geared towards character building and inculcating the values of team spirit, integrity, empathy, self-discipline.

During debriefing time conducted at the end of CCA session, members are given the opportunity to reflect about the issues that arise during the activities. Resilience and team spirit are examples of the debrief focus.

Empowering leaders and talents

Leaders are empowered to lead the team in some activities. This provides the opportunity to hone their leadership skills.
